Memodyne includes both arginine and citrulline, in two forms each. They're related but not the same compound.
Arginine is the amino acid the body uses most directly in producing nitric oxide, the molecule involved in relaxing blood vessels.
Citrulline is converted by the body into arginine first. Some formulators prefer including citrulline because it can behave differently once absorbed, compared to supplementing arginine directly.
By including two forms of each -- L-Arginine and L-Arginine AKG, L-Citrulline HCl and L-Citrulline Malate -- Memodyne's label covers both the direct and step-removed routes to the same underlying pathway.
